Why the name "Peppermint Storm"?
Why not? Actually, it's a line from the Seramyu song Saikyou no Couple Gundan (Strongest Couple Corps) that the Shitennou and Inner Senshi sang together. It goes:

Perfectly chosen, the best four couples
A picture-perfect combination and good compatibility
Truly suitable, the best four couples
Together we'll stir up a peppermint storm

Yeah, it's complete nonsense, but it sounded good at the time.

Why do you only have manga information here? I like the anime!
There are a few reasons. One is that there are plenty of anime Shitennou sites out there. Why should I bother with it when you can just as easily go to one of them? The other reason is that I really don't like their anime counterparts as much. I'm much more a fan of the manga than I am of the anime. Also, the anime Shitennou are drastically different from the manga Shitennou, to the point that I think they should be considered seperate characters.

Why don't you support the Kunzite X Zoisite pairing? Are you homophobic or something?
Hardly. Personally, I just don't think they make a good couple. Not to mention the fact that they aren't a couple at all in the manga, which is the canon that this site emphasizes. It's merely a personal preference, of course, though I do appreciate that they are an interesting pair, and I have been known to read a fanfic or two about them. (And actually, it would be interesting to read about the same couple with their manga personalities.)

Can I submit fanart/fanfiction?
Absolutely! But please read the Guidelines first.

Can I correct something inaccurate on your page?
Sure, if you see something wrong on the site feel free to email me about it. I really loathe inaccurate information, especially on my own site, so corrections are always appreciated. Be prepared to back it up, though, as I generally prefer to use information that I know comes from the original source and not simply through word of mouth.

What is the logic behind "Kunkun"?
Well, it's hard to explain Kunzite... oh, you meant the nickname, didn't you? ^^; Well, the first "kun" is from his name, obviously. The second "kun" is a common Japanese suffix usually used when speaking to a male who is the same age or younger than you. He's not younger than me, but I still find it cute. The nickname is not used in either the manga or anime, but I use it nonetheless. Because, you know, I'm a nerd.

Were the Inner Senshi and the Shitennou really lovers in the manga?
They are not exactly what you would call canon couples, like Usagi and Mamoru, or even Kunzite and Zoisite of the anime. There is plenty of evidence hinting towards the Senshi/Shitennou pairings (see: Debate: Yaoi or Straight?). However, it is still only evidence, and is best not treated as fact. Yes, Naoko Takeuchi herself said that she wished to play with those pairings, but because they never explicitly appeared in the story that way, they should still be considered fan pairings.

Are you a fan of the Senshi/Shitennou pairings?
Eh... I'm pretty neutral about it, actually. If you've read my rant on the subject, you'll know that I'm not especially fond of using the Shitennou as pairing objects. However, I do like playing with the idea, and if I'm in the right mood I actually really enjoy a good Senshi/Shitennou fanfic. But before you write me off as a Senshi/Shitennou shipper, you should know that I also like playing with the idea of Kunzite/Mamoru. In other words, I take my Shitennou in pretty much all forms, and don't love them simply because they look cute with Character X.

Will there be anything about the Shitennou of the live action series or Seramyu?
It's doubtful that I'll ever attempt to cover the PGSM Shitennou here, because obviously, they are so different from the manga Shitennou as to be considered entirely different characters. Attempting to properly cover them would likely require another website, which is something I just don't have time for. As for the Seramyu Shitennou, the answer is yes, I do intend to cover them. The reason is that they are heavily based on the manga Shitennou--moreso than the live action or anime Shitennou--and thus, discussing them would be relevant to their manga incarnations.

Can I send you something other than fanart, fanfiction, or anything else currently posted on Peppy Storm?
Please do! I adore getting new things to post, and if I have to create a new section to accommodate your stuff, then that just means that this site is growing.
